I've always enjoyed solid metal neckwear like these. Not quite "necklaces" 'cause they are certainly not lacy, but whatever you call them, they're cool :) motorbikematt

- motorbikematt - Puzzle Art by Doug Powell of Oviedo Florida

This was actually pretty cool to see. The artwork is essentially a collage of individual puzzle pieces arranged by color. Of course this image is the famous cover photo from National Geographic. Quite unique work! motorbikematt

- motorbikematt - Starting another 50 laps.

- Waterstone Clubhouse, Homestead, Fl
Here you see my ass before I jump into my brother's Clubhouse's lap pool. Just about every day I've been swimming at least 44 laps of this pool with the goal of getting two sets of 22 laps under 11 minutes apiece.
The water has steadily increased from a 61 degree low to a nice balmy 71 degrees. Still too cold for most people's tastes, which is just fine by me. Swimming alone has it's advantages. motorbikematt

I am swim training for a very cool project. Among my collection of video gear is a cool gift I got for Christmas; a dive mask with a 5 megapixel camera built in. This was a quick test of the mask's field of view.
On a side note, it's been pretty damn cold here in S. Florida, but I want the project, right? Gotta do whatcha gotta do.... motorbikematt

- Around Lake Sue
This is fixed version of the earlier video that shows up as a green screen. Here we have me taking video of myself riding the motorbike around Lake Sue in Orlando, Fl. I'd just gotten her running again after reassembling for a good cleaning. motorbikematt

Sorry about the volume of the music, the Volume control on Pandora is weird I guess. Took the windshield off to polish the scratches out as I pay some much needed attention to my main ride. Another day's worth of work ahead of me, easy! motorbikematt

- motorbikematt - Aubie decides to stay warm

- Orlando Office
Aubie is a cat that started coming around the house shortly before Cloud died. He has been hanging out ever since, especially when it gets cold outside.
Total dufus. He just decided to hop onto my lap...laptop that is. motorbikematt
that's a good cat. :) beach

- motorbikematt - Gandule Moth

- Parents' backyard, Leisure City, Fl
Mom and I were working in the backyard a few days ago and we saw the leaves attached to the Gandule (pigeon pea) tree. We were very curious as to what was inside, but we left it alone. A few days later, we see the moth drying his wings off, above the cocoon and it was very exciting to see.

I was on my way down driving to Homestead so Cloudy could see some of his old friends and family. He did so very happily, but sadly died about 11 hours later. I was with him and he was comfortable the entire time.
As it turns out, this is the last image I've captured of my dog. He was as good a travel companion as you can get. motorbikematt

For the most part, I hate everything about Las Vegas. The clubs are pseudo-exclusive, the alcohol is to exensive, and the people are just sad.
Some friends of mine say Miami is fake...I say no...Miami/Miami Beach nightlife is the real deal. Not NYC or SF, but at least the people try! motorbikematt

These are orange trees. It's a shame you can't see the fruit, but it's yet another thing I love about Florida...the scent of citrus blossoms! motorbikematt

Trippy experience ;) motorbikematt
