Yay, Protesters! The DNC here in 2000 brought out the loonies! And I was there with them. :) Not protesting... just rocking out to Rage Against the Machine in the "Free Speech" area outside Staples Center. And trying not to get pepper sprayed or hit with any bean bags or rubber bullets when the man decided to break it up a bit later. :P StarWarsDork

Cops make me nervous. I had to dodge a rubber bullet at an anti-police brutality event some years back. I just went w/ a legal observer then all hell broke loose. At the 2000 DNC my legal observer friend was wrongfully arrested and had a settlement later. Things get so out of hand. joyofzen

This gathering ended in flash bag grenades being thrown into the crowd after dark. But only about a dozen arrested. Blizzard
